I quite agree in principle. In reality, our employers can only be responsible for the subject matter of our field, and continue to provide information not always needed here and now to the new residents. This begs the question whether different organisations with same or similar audiences should work collaboratively in disseminating information.

non-English speakers may not be literate but will most definitly find it easier to have the information read to them in their language rather than paying / finding or even relying on someone to translate it to them. This can distort the actual meanings and lead to misunderstandings being formed. I consider it very naive and dangerous to make such recommendations.
